If you have ever gotten lost in one of those massive suburb sprawls created from a former corn field, you know the frustration of turning down street after street leading to cul-de-sac after cul-de-sac.
Designing and building the dust collection hood for the miter saw workstation has led me to three straight dead ends. Each version worked a little better than the one before, but none worked very well.
Right now I am in the midst of many projects. There is the maple chest of drawers mentioned above, the ill-fated dust hood for the miter saw station, a small hall table for a newly minted couple, repairing a chair for a friend, trimming out the last window upstairs in my shop, building a sanding station for my oscillating spindle sander and my combination belt/disc sander, and taking advantage of the last of the summer's great weather to pull some weeds. The dust is piling up.
